Did you know that there are six different species of flamingos. The Rosy flamingo or Caribbean flamingo is the only type of flamingo that lives naturally in North America. The most widespread type is the Greater flamingo, which is found in Africa and southwestern Asia. Other species are the Chilean flamingo, Andean flamingo, Lesser flamingo and James’s flamingo. Inchworms are not really worms at all; they’re caterpillars. They belong to the scientific family Geometridae. Geometrid means “earth-measurer” in Greek and inchworms are called this because it looks like they are measuring the ground, an inch at a time.

Just in time for the cold snap that’s settling in over Ireland and Europe, here’s a big bunch of super soft and cuddly hoodies for the guys and the gals. And one more from “The Celtic Design Collection“. At the time of posting this new design, the Irish government is announcing the first of two days of budget cuts. I’m thinking maybe this celtic man is floating because he’s had every cent taken from his pockets, and he’s naked – literally has lost the shirt on his back – quite appropriate for the day that’s in it.

On a cheerier note, and this is supposed to be an upbeat t-shirt, this design is available on a wide range of t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts for men, women and the little folk.

Here’s another illustration from what you could loosely term “The Celtic Design Collection”. This lovely lady has an almost medusa-like hairstyle but instead of snakes, her hair is made of celtic knots. Fairly traditional Irish, green celtic knots.

Contrary to popular belief, ostriches do not bury their heads in the sand. At the approach of trouble, ostriches will lie low and press their long necks to the ground in an attempt to become less visible.
